How To Curly Perm Virgin Indian Hair

I bought a $6 curly perm kit and used about 100 tiny perm rods covered with tissue and permed the heck out of this wig.  I wasn't at all happy with the natural wave pattern especially after I dyed the hair.  It just never came back to the wavy pattern that it had before I colored it.  Just like all virgin hair, once you apply any chemicals on it, it changes textures for some reason.  I always dye my straight virgin hair, usually it takes a couple of months to bounce back to it's natural luster.  But for some reason, this wavy hair just never bounced back.  So the only thing left for me to do was to try and perm it to create a deeper curl and hope for the best.

Below is what what the hair looked like before I permed it.  As you can see it looks hopeless and lacks body and shine.  Perming gave this wig all the things it was lacking and the hair has become very soft and tangle free..... who knew!

In the video below, I take you through all the steps of perming.  I didn't roll the hair on camera but you can see how it's rolled and how many rollers I used.
